The physical distance makes us out of reach of each other. As the candle burns, time passes. When we can’t touch each other, we may cry and argue, but perhaps more than anything, we persevere in maintaining our relationship.
I collected stories of people who have intimate relationships and interviewed them about the psychological changes in their relationships.
Based on the findings, I illustrated six stories about people connecting through communication devices, trying to explore how contemporary communications technologies are transforming our experience and understanding of intimacy and closeness. Does the power of technology sustain our relationships, enhance intimacy, or cause us to drift apart?
